The company was established in 2004 as Big Three Property Development Trading (BTPD Trading) and started as a medium sized property development and construction business.

BTPD Trading PTY (Ltd) managed and built many residential houses in development projects in provinces such as:

Gauteng: Pretoria East, Irene Estates and Silver Lakes

North West: Rustenburg Kloof

Mpumalanga: Piet Rietief

BPTD Trading Pty (Ltd), worked with team of qualified and experienced professionals such as quantity surveyors, projects managers, architects and engineers.

In November 2009, Sir Terry Mdletshe (co-founder, chairperson and CEO of the holding) decided to stretch reality to fit dreams by forming Terry Holdings as a holding of diversified companies to trade through different subsidiaries to cover a wide range of retail businesses.

Terry Holdings owns Tileshub Warehouse, Terry Couture, Terry Vogue, Dish Advertising and MyZiep, an online social networking website with a trademark registered under Terry Holdings PTY (Ltd).
